The Shake & Stir festival has been revving up fans of vintage and retro music, vehicles, dancing, fashion and lifestyle living… for many years now.
From rock’n’rollers looking for the best in 1920’s-1970’s music… to jive bunnies, fashionistas and grease monkeys - the Shake & Stir festival appeals to a variety of vintage life-stylers; along with people of all ages, looking to engage with a diverse collection of traders, sponsors, entertainment, and so much more!
In 2021 Shake & Stir returned to delight visitors for the seventh time, drawing crowds of 20,000 people over the two days. In the summer of 2022, we went one better, with incredible acts, traders, performances, artists and more to enjoy!

Yellow Buses were Bournemouth's locally owned and managed bus company - proudly serving Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and East Dorset until 2022.
Before this year, it had never been easier to travel sustainably by bus! Yellow Buses operated between Bournemouth and Southbourne (Fisherman's Walk) up to every 10 minutes, and contactless payments were accepted on every ticket machine.
Frequent buses were serving local hotels and train stations, with Southbourne best served by routes 1 and 1b. Alternatively, you could hop aboard Buster's Beach Bus to take an open-top ride to the festival via Southbourne Overcliff, taking you to the other side of Fisherman's walk by the beach.
We were sad to see the end of Yellow Buses in Bournemouth but still recommend the use of buses locally and other sustainable transportation.
