9th Sept - Cliff top music fest’23! - Highcliffe, UK

Highcliffe Action Team are delighted to announce the launch of their debut one-day music festival, which will take place on Saturday, 9th September 2023.

This 70’s themed music event will be hosted on the green adjoining the cliff-top car park, near the Cliffhanger, from 11 am to 7.30 pm.

HAT’s Chair, Mandy Polkey, enthuses, “This is a first for HAT and is a free event open to local residents. Our main priority is that the local neighbourhood brings along their families to a fun event. We can promise good music, plus tasty food and refreshments hosted in a simply stunning location. In addition, the festival site will be enhanced by the colourful presence of 70’s classic and vintage cars.’

The headline act will be a funk/disco group that came into international success in the mid-1970s - Heatwave. Renowned for their popular hits ‘Too Hot To Handle’ and ‘Always & Forever,’ the group promise to get the party started with their #2 UK and US classic hit ‘Boogie Nights.’

Taking to the main stage will also be local support acts, including I Am Robot, Ian Roberts and the Soul to Soul choir.

HAT’s Communications Officer, Jane Dean, says, “The festival welcomes local traders, businesses and shops to display, exhibit and sell at the event. We wish to further interact with and support our high street businesses for this fun day out. There’s even an opportunity for boutique traders to exhibit as a suitcase trader, for as little as £60 for the day. Local businesses will be sponsoring the main stage, and there are advertising opportunities on the festival’s boundary fencing. Dressing up is discretionary, but the HAT team will be reviving their 70’s flares and tie-dyed shirts.”

HAT have already received keen interest from potential sponsors for the main stage, and high street businesses are offering up raffle prizes for the festival. For more information, to secure a stall or to take part in the event, please contact either mandy@eventsbystir.com or janedean@live.co.uk.
